On May 14, 2025, the Morning Without Child Care sent a powerful message across Connecticut: our child care system is in crisis, and families, educators, and communities are demanding bold solutions.

 

Thousands participated in rallies across the state, from Hartford to Danbury to New Haven, calling for affordable, reliable child care and fair wages for early educators. The energy was electric, the stories were personal, and the message was clear—child care is essential, and Connecticut must do better.
