"I joined the leadership of Child Care for CT because as a working mother I am not alone in my need for child care, and women all over Connecticut are bearing the brunt of our broken child care system. Women are more likely to leave the workforce and those of us who have no other option but to stay, find it difficult to maneuver the impacts of staff shortages, language barriers, centers closing, lack of affordability, and the different needs of children."
